The Magnolia Flower is Mississippi's State Flower. The Magnolia Tree produces these sweet fragrant flowers in the spring. The Magnolia tree grows very large. It was my Childrens favorite tree to climb.
The Magnolia was selected by the schoolchildren of Mississippi through an election held in an election in 1900. The magnolia received 12,745 votes and the Cotton blossom only received 4,171 votes.
Mississippi's nickname is the Magnolia State.
A little story of the Magnolia Flower. My sister and I was trying to make us some money. Well, we decided to make purses out of notebook paper. We folded the paper in half and glued magnolia flowers to it for decorations. We thought. they were beautiful. So, we set a table up and couldn't wait to sell our first purse. Well, it turned out that we were the only ones to think that they were beautiful.
This set would look good on end tables, curio cabinet for display or for a gift for wedding shower.
